With the premiere of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Falstaff on 11 October 2025, Maestro Ivan Repušić made his debut in his new role as General Music Director (Generalmusikdirektor) of Leipzig Opera, where he will lead not only the opera ensemble and chorus but also the renowned Gewandhausorchester. At the premiere of Falstaff, he conducted the soloists’ ensemble led by Luca Gallo in the title role, the Leipzig Opera Chorus, and the Gewandhausorchester.
