For Maestro Repušić, it was a special honour to conduct the Staatskapelle Weimar in Zagreb for the first time as chief conductor—especially since the programme featured Songs for Voice and Orchestra by Dora Pejačević, performed with the outstanding mezzo-soprano Annika Schlicht. The programme also included the overtures to Lohengrin and Tannhäuser by Richard Wagner, as well as Ein Heldenleben by Richard Strauss—works by composers whose histories are closely intertwined with that of the Staatskapelle Weimar, and which showcased the full splendour of this centuries-old orchestra, to the delight of the large audience at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall on March 7, 2026. After the concert, Maestro Repušić and Annika Schlicht took part in a post-concert talk for the audience and signed copies of the newly released album of Dora Pejačević’s orchestral works.
